VENTURA COUNTY SCHOOL SEXUAL ABUSE CASE

Were You Sexually Abused at a School in Ventura County?

You Are Not Alone — And It's Time to Hold These School Districts Accountable

Sexual abuse has no place in our schools — yet far too many survivors in Ventura County have carried their pain in silence, while school districts have failed to protect them.

If you or a loved one experienced sexual abuse while attending a public school in Ventura County, our firm is here to help. We represent survivors in filing civil claims against negligent schools and school districts that allowed abuse to happen or failed to act when warning signs were clear.

🚨 Recent Cases Show a Pattern of Negligence

For years, headlines have exposed a disturbing reality: students across Ventura County have been abused by school staff, coaches, and teachers — often right under the noses of district officials.

📍 Santa Paula Unified School District

In 2024, David Lane Braff Jr., a former counselor at McKevett Elementary, was charged with 31 felony counts of child molestation involving young students between the ages of 6 and 10. He also worked in other local districts, including Ventura, Moorpark, Conejo Valley, and Ocean View. (LA Times – April 2024)

📍 Oxnard Union High School District / Camarillo

In 2025, Ronald Wilson, a wrestling coach who worked at both Camarillo and Oxnard high schools, was arrested and charged with multiple counts of sexual abuse of minors, some dating back to the 1990s. (LA Times – July 2025)

These are not isolated incidents — they are signs of institutional failure. And it's time to hold these districts accountable.

🛑 Schools Failed to Protect You — But You Still Have Rights

We’ve all read the headlines. But for every news article, there are countless survivors who never had their stories told. Many have suffered in silence for far too long.

These school districts had a legal and moral responsibility to keep children safe. When they ignore reports, fail to supervise staff, or cover up misconduct, they can and should be held liable.
